The first season of the Party Down reboot is officially over, and now it's time to wait to see if we'll get another.

In the meantime, here are some of reboot's callbacks and references to the original run of the show:
1.Henry can’t escape his infamous beer commercial catchphrase.

It seems no matter how many years go by, folks will continue realizing he's the "Are we having fun yet?" guy.
2.Roman is still working on his hard sci-fi story, The Serpent in the Mirror.
Remember the magnum opus he wrote on a roll of toilet paper in the Season 2 finale "Constance Carmell Wedding"? Yeah, he's still tweaking it. He does manage to sell the idea to a new streaming service, Smydgyn, in the Season 3 episode, "Once Upon a Time Proms Away Prom-otional Event," but unfortunately Smydgyn — and his dream — dies in the next episode.
3.He's also moved from blogging to vlogging (but still doing so prestigiously).

4.Constance is still telling tales of her early acting days. Just as she told the gang about losing the role of “roller girl” in Cannonball 2 after being hit by a car, she tells a new story about losing a role after accidentally roller skating into the ocean.
5.Kyle is canceled thanks to a resurfaced video of his band, Karma Rocket, performing what appears to be a Nazi-sympathetic song at Constance's wedding.

After the video is leaked by Kyle's vengeful bandmate in the Season 3 premiere, "Kyle Bradway is Nitromancer," he gets to watch his downfall in real time as he loses the very superhero role he's celebrating landing.
6.The right way to cut limes.
Just as Ron shows Henry how to use the grain of the lime when cutting them in the series premiere, Kyle does the same in the Season 3 episode, "Jack Botty's Delayed Post-Pandemic Surprise Party."
7.Lydia is still a momager to her now-famous daughter.

Except now she looks like Edna Mode.
8.In the series premiere, Ron goes so far as to try to forge a comment card full of praise. He’s still obsessed with them in Season 3.
9.Ron is also still doling out R.D.D.s (Ron Donald Don’ts).
10.Episode 3, “First Annual PI2A Symposium,” is clearly a nod to the Season 1 episode, “California College Conservative Union Caucus."

In “First Annual PI2A Symposium," the gang caters a white nationalist event, and in “California College Conservative Union Caucus,” they cater a young Republican event. In both cases, the clients are awaiting the arrival of a big name who never arrives (the fictional Seaver Hamlin and then Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, respectively).
11."Once Upon a Time Proms Away Prom-otional Event," meanwhile, feels super similar to the Season 1 episode, "Taylor Stiltskin Sweet Sixteen."

Even though Escapade is well out of her teens by now, this is the prom she never got, and for some people, proms and Sweet 16s might as well be the same event.
12.And the Season 3 finale, "Sepulveda Basin High School Spring Play Opening Night," shares a similar plot with the Season 2 episode "Not On Your Wife Opening Night."

In "Sepulveda Basin High School Spring Play Opening Night," the crew caters the afterparty of the high school play Henry directed, and in "Not On Your Wife Opening Night" they cater the afterparty of a community theater show. Both occasions see a fair bit of debauchery.
13.The crew is still getting high on the job.

In Season 1, Casey does ecstasy in "Sin Say Shun Awards Afterparty" and Bobbie does shrooms in the finale, "Stennheiser-Pong Wedding Reception." Roman also eats a whole lot of edibles (albeit accidentally) at Constance’s wedding. So it’s no surprise when pretty much everyone takes the shrooms Evie has in "The KSGY-95 Prizewinner’s Luau."
14.The “tube of consciousness” is back.
Just like Bobbie was in a “purple tube of consciousness” at the Season 1 wedding, Sackson is in a “blue tube of consciousness” at the luau.
15.So is the pinecone sauce.
Starz, Starz / Via giphy.com
While Lucy's fancy saffron ball — which unfortunately gets eaten by a characteristically clueless Ron — includes a pinecone sauce that sounds...very unique, it's actually not the first time the show has mentioned it. In the Season 2 episode, "Cole Landry's Draft Day Party," Lydia makes a remark about preferring the simpler foods at the gathering to hors d'oeuvres like "Santa Barbara grilled eel beaks in a baby pinecone sauce."
16.Casey’s absence is explained by the career she spent the first two seasons pursuing.
But her brief appearance in the Season 3 finale, in which she tells Henry she's quitting her show The Stabilizer, suggests she might be back if there's another season.
