If there’s *one* good thing about summer drawing to a close, it’s the fact that there’s a whole slew of new (and old) fall TV shows just waiting to debut/return. Here, our top picks from Murphy Brown to This Is Us.

‘Jack Ryan’ (Amazon)
Premiere Date: August 31
Based on the fictional character created by Tom Clancy, this new action-packed series stars John Krasinski (as in Jim from The Office) as a CIA analyst who is unexpectedly given a dangerous assignment that leads to the discovery of an intricate terrorism plot.
‘Sisters’ (Netflix)
Premiere Date: September 1
This comedy kicks off when a woman’s father—who happens to be on his death bed—reveals that, whoops, he forgot to tell her she has more than 100 brothers (and two sisters) she never knew existed.
‘Kidding’ (Showtime)
Premiere Date: September 9
Jim Carrey plays Jeff—aka Mr. Pickles—an icon of children’s television, whose off-screen life implodes unexpectedly. (Catherine Keener, Frank Langella and Judy Greer also star.)
‘Forever’ (Amazon)
Premiere Date: September 14
When a married couple decide to shake up their routine with a ski trip, drama (and hilarity) ensues. It doesn’t hurt that said married couple is played by Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen. Cue all the laughs.
‘The Good Cop’ (Netflix)
Premiere Date: September 21
Tony Danza and Josh Groban—um, craziest TV pairing ever—star in this series about a former NYPD officer (Danza) who teams up with his son (Groban), who also happens to be a member of the police force.
‘Maniac’ (Netflix)
Premiere Date: September 21
This dark comedy follows the story of two strangers who find themselves at the center of a pharmaceutical trial gone awry. It also stars two A-listers typically not on TV: Emma Stone and Jonah Hill. (We’re on board.)
‘This Is Us’ (NBC)
Premiere Date: September 25
After Jack’s (Milo Ventimiglia) heart-wrenching death, the new season resumes with Kate, Kevin and Randall picking up the pieces from that horrific event. (It goes without saying that tissues are required.)

‘A Million Little Things’ (ABC)
Premiere Date: September 26
This ensemble comedy—about a group of friends who reunite after the loss of a mutual pal—feels a lot like The Big Chill. It also stars Ron Livingston, Romany Malco, Christina Ochoa and more.
‘The Good Place’ (NBC)
Premiere Date: September 27
Get forking excited: Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) and the cast of this comedy about the afterlife and what it takes to reach a heaven-like utopia (versus the alternative) return for season three.

‘Murphy Brown’ (CBS)
Premiere Date: September 27
With Candice Bergen back at the helm, this reboot of the TV classic (which ran from 1988 to 1998) picks up years after broadcast news legend Murphy Brown last left off—except she now works in a world of 24-hour cable, social media and “fake news.”
‘Will & Grace’ (NBC)
Premiere Date: October 4
Yep, Will, Karen, Jack and Grace are all back for another round of this revival. And good news: The show has already been renewed for season three. (RELATED: Ross Geller is also joining the cast.)

‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ (The CW)
Premiere Date: October 12
Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom) is back for the fourth season of this critically acclaimed show about a musically gifted woman (obsessed with a guy named Josh Chan) who is forced to pivot as she grapples with—and resists labels pertaining to—her mental health. (And if you still haven’t heard “The Sexy Getting Ready Song,” you’re seriously missing out.)

‘The Romanoffs’ (Amazon)
Premiere Date: October 12
It’s the first TV show from creative genius Matthew Weiner since Mad Men, and it follows the stories of people who believe they are the descendants of the famous Russian royal family. (It also has a blockbuster cast including Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Isabelle Huppert, Kathryn Hahn, Amanda Peet, Diane Lane, Paul Reiser and more.)
‘Camping’ (HBO)
Premiere Date: October 14
Jennifer Garner plays a controlling L.A. mom who assembles a small group—including her timid sister and holier-than-thou best friend—to join her on a camping trip to celebrate her husband’s 45th birthday in this limited series comedy. (Psst..it’s written by Girls alums Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner.)
‘House of Cards’ (Netflix)
Premiere Date: November 2
Kevin Spacey is out. Robin Wright is in. Claire Underwood (Wright) steps into the role of president of the United States for the series’ sixth—and final—season.
‘Homecoming’ (Amazon)
Premiere Date: November 2
The one, the only Julia Roberts stars in this series—based on the popular Gimlet Media podcast—about a caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, which helps soldiers transition back to civilian life. (What were we saying about A-listers turning to TV again?)
