By Matt Sebra.

Despite our best efforts to explain why square-toe shoes have no place in a modern stylish man's wardrobe, the Frankenstein-like silhouette is still out there. Square-toe shoes are still sold in malls across this fine country and the globe. They're sitting under the pant legs of successful businessmen and even, yes, our best friends. They're still ruining otherwise put-together outfits with their fat toe boxes and right angle soles—but not for long. We're taking a stand against these footwear abominations. We're making sure guys everywhere rids their wardrobes of the eyesores. And once they do that, they should consider replacing them with any of the following dress shoes. Each pair comes in an aesthetically-superior rounded toe silhouette—the way all proper dress shoes should in 2017—and is roomy enough inside to keep toes from feeling cramped. The road to a square-toe shoe-free society isn't going to happen overnight, but making sure one (or more) of these pairs are in every guy's closet will certainly help.
