The PBA’s top-ranked player, E.J. Tackett, who opened the season by winning the U.S. Open in early February, and partner Marshall Kent will defend the Roth/Holman title they won last year in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Among the leading contenders is Australian Jason Belmonte, presently third in the PBA rankings, who’ll make his Mid County Lanes debut teamed with 16th-ranked Bill O'Neill of Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Mid County Lanes has hosted a PBA event since 2009, conducting the PBA East Region tournaments through 2014. From 2015 through 2019, Mid County hosted PBA Tour summer events.

The COVID-19 pandemic prevented Mid County from hosting PBA action in 2020 or 2021. But the pros returned last year for the PBA East Region Rita Justice Classic, in which Todd Sigeti of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, scored his first professional win, and the PBA50 (seniors) Rita Justice Classic won by Dover’s Stevie Weber.
