Although Jennifer Garner wasn’t up for an Oscar on Sunday, the actress’ makeup alone deserved one. So you might be shocked to know that her makeup artist, Kara Yoshimoto Bua, used products you can pick up at your local drugstore.

Yoshimoto Bua told Vanity Fair that the makeup was inspired by Garner’s dress—a timeless off-the-shoulder red gown by Brandon Maxwell that paid homage to old Hollywood glamour. As not to take away from the statement piece, Yoshimoto Bua went for an understated, barely-there glow. “We just wanted to bring out her natural beauty,” she added.

Thus, the star of the fuss-free base was Neutrogena’s Clear Full-Coverage Flawless Matte CC Cream, which Yoshimoto Bua simply massaged into Garner’s skin with her fingertips to achieve a glowing finish. And it’s on sale now for just $11.

Infused with soothing niacinamide, the cream color-corrects redness and blurs imperfections while maintaining a lightweight, breathable feel. It’s also fragrance and oil-free, and available in 18 shades. Garner and her glam team aren’t the only ones who love it, either.

“Finally a cc cream that does it all-matte finish, perfect shade ... goes on smoothly, not too thick or heavy,” one Amazon reviewer writes. “This stuff is perfect. I’m 51 with [an] oily T-zone and some wrinkles, and this works great for me.”

Other shoppers say it made skin appear smoother, making it ideal for use during dry winter months. “This foundation is wonderful,” another raves. “Not heavy, yet gives full coverage. Much better than the more expensive products out there.”

To prep The Adam Project star’s skin for application, Yoshimoto Bua used the 49-year-old’s tried-and-true moisturizing, plumping skincare duo—Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Gel-Cream—to create a “dewy, not greasy” glow on the face and body. “It’s not going to leave oils on the hair if I put it on the shoulders, and it absorbs really quickly and locks in the moisture,” she explained.

Garner, a longtime Neutrogena ambassador, has been vocal about her love for the Hydro Boost line, particularly the fan-favorite Gel-Cream. “There are all these little micro-lines that once I put this on, they go away,” she told InStyle earlier this month. “This is 48 hours of moisture that you’re locking in with one thing, and then I don’t have to worry about it. I can see why reviewers love it, I think it’s my favorite product we’ve ever put out.”

To finish off her Oscars opulence, Yoshimoto Bua brushed on multiple coats of Healthy Lengths Mascara for a “piece-y, feathery” look, and smudged her cheeks with the universal Multi-Use Stick (which Kerry Washington loves) to add some color back into the complexion.

It may not look it given Garner’s breathtaking beauty, but the vision was really that simply achieved.
