Our dogs have proven that they will always give us the most enthusiastic welcome home, help us relieve stress, and keep a smile on our faces. We think they're the most deserving of a little extra love with Valentine's Day—maybe even a special V-Day date night?

From fun new toys in seasonal shades of pinks and reds to puzzles and snazzy new collars, there are tons of products here to help you treat your four-legged friend. There are also lots of great ideas that don't cost anything, like taking an extra long walk together or snuggling up for a movie night. Celebrating with your dog doesn't have to be complicated—a little bit of extra attention can go a long way toward helping your best pal feel the love.

1. Have a Game Night

A little extra attention can go a long way with your four-legged friend, which is why we think game night is a great idea. Throw a Frisbee, play fetch, or set up a fun dog puzzle or snuffle mat to increase your bond and stimulate your pet's brain and senses.

2. Buy Your Pup a New Toy

You might not be able to share a glass of celebratory champagne to mark the special occasion, but you can still treat your pup to something exciting. Many retailers have special Valentine's Day-themed toys for dogs, and your pup would be more than happy to have a new toy to chew, snuggle, and toss around.

3. Take an Extra Long Walk

Spending some extra time together on your daily walk is sure to make your precious pooch feel loved and appreciated. Your pup will love all that extra time sniffing around and seeing the sights; we encourage you to let them take the lead and walk wherever their nose takes them (a long leash will work best for this!).

4. Give Your Pup a Massage

You already know your pet loves lots of rubs and snuggles, but go all out this Valentine's Day with a massage for your pup. It can help both you and your dog relax after a fun day of activities.

5. Bake Homemade Dog Treats

6. Have a Snuggle Sesh

Spend quality time lounging on the couch together, snuggling up for an extra long nap, or letting your large breed pretend they're a lap dog for a little bit. To take your celebration to the next level, grab a fluffy blanket, and cozy up for a movie night on the couch.

7. Dress Up for a Photoshoot

Nothing says "I'm obsessed with my dog" like a matching outfit and an entire photoshoot together! If you need tips on how to take the best photos of your pup, we asked a professional animal photographer for all their best tips and tricks.
