'1000-Lb Sisters' Star Tammy Slaton's Doctor Comments on Her Immense Weight Loss

Dr. Eric Smith is still in Tammy Slaton's corner.

The surgeon, who has guided Tammy throughout her weight loss journey on 1000-Lb Sisters, weighed in on her latest social media update, which showed off her impressive 300-pound transformation.

"So proud of you❤️," the doctor commented alongside Tammy's six filter-free photos.

Fans of Tammy were thrilled to see the doctor offer up his support, with many responding to his remark in the comments. One follower noted, "you are a credit to your profession for not giving up on Tammy."

Another chimed in, "my favorite comment hands down!!"

A third gushed, "proud of you for all the help you gave Tammy, you saved her life."

As fans of the show well know, season four of 1000-Lb Sisters showed Tammy entering rehab after weighing over 700 pounds. Nonetheless, Dr. Smith stood by Tammy amid her previous struggle to lose weight to qualify for bariatric surgery.

Eventually, Tammy lost enough to gain approval for the procedure, which she called "a f-----g miracle."

"Finally, all my work has paid off," Tammy said at the time. "After all this bulls--t, all the sacrifices. I had to give up a lot. My soadies. My chocolate."

Following the surgery, which occurred in the fall of last year, Tammy dropped a significant amount of weight. She has since documented her journey on social media, with several posts showing her standing on her own and ditching the previously needed nasal cannula.
