Police responded to a report of a child being hit by a vehicle on 4:08 p.m. Friday. According to the California City Police Department, the child was “surfing” on top of the car when he slipped and fell in front of the vehicle, resulting in his parents running him over.
23ABC reports that the boy suffered two broken shoulders, a broken pelvis and some fractured ribs following the accident. Doctors are still attempting to pinpoint where his internal bleeding is originating, and a friend of the family informed the outlet that the young boy would need surgery.
