10 Women That Should Be the Olsen's Style Icons
Nothing gets us to click a link faster than the promise of finding out something, anything, about Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. So when Style.com tweeted “You’ll never guess Mary Kate’s style crush” along with a link, we thought “omg won’t we?” Who could it be? Surely someone we had never heard of before, maybe an old-timey actress who dressed in men’s suits and had a pet fox and died in anonymity, or maybe a young up-and-coming painter who only wears Dickie’s worksuits that are perfectly (and naturally) splattered in paint in a way that could never be replicated.
So we clicked. And then we read. Mary-Kate likes Gigi Hadid.
“She always looks effortless and cool,” said Mary-Kate.
Commence heartbreak.
Ashley likes Amber Heard because “she balances her bohemian look with a touch of edge.”
Have our whole lives of Olsen worship been a lie? Have the Olsens not read their own book, Influence? What a letdown! We were not about to discover some amazing style icon, it’s just like, normal people. NORMAL PEOPLE!
