17 Wildly Addicting TV Shows to Stream While You Wait for the Bachelor Premiere

Love Is Blind
If you thought The Bachelor was nuts, get a load of the premise for Love Is Blind: Men and women go on a series of blind dates while sitting in "pods" where they can't see the person they're talking to. Eventually contestants narrow down their options until they've found the One. Then they get engaged, meet face-to-face for the first time, and spend the next few weeks deciding whether they're ready to walk down the aisle. I know!
Stream it on Netflix.

The Circle
One of the most unlikely shows like The Bachelor is The Circle, which is hosted by comedian Michelle Buteau. In it, contestants move into a single building but are sequestered in their own apartments where they don’t physically interact with each other. Rather, they talk via a social media app in which they make profiles that are rated by other players. They can create any persona they want—anything they think the others will like. The two people with the highest ratings become “influencers,” while the rest are at risk of being “blocked."
Stream it on Netflix.

Dating Around
I never thought watching a stranger go on five blind dates would be so interesting, but here I am. The premise of Dating Around is simple, but don't let that fool you: It's one of the most realistic depictions of modern single life to ever hit TV. There are no bells and whistles on this reality series: You truly just watch the dates in all their awkward, nervous glory. It's riveting.

Love Island
If you thought American dating shows were wild, just wait until you watch Love Island, the U.K. Bachelor in Paradise–Big Brother hybrid that, at one point, had its female contestants make clay moldings of the male contestants' penises. Oh, and someone on the show definitely dated Prince Harry. As far as shows like The Bachelor go, this is the most on-the-nose.
Stream it on Hulu.

90 Day Fiancé
Anyone who's watched this hit TLC series becomes obsessed with it. (Just ask Casey Wilson.) And all you need to see is the premise to know why: Two people in a relationship but living in different countries use a fiancé visa to finally be together, and they must decide within 90 days whether they're tying the knot. Talk about some high stakes.
Stream it on Hulu.

The Real Housewives of New York City
No, RHONY isn't a dating show, but it has just as much drama as any Bachelor finale. Watching Luann and Dorinda suffer through a "gangster lunch" in Little Italy together should satisfy all your reality-TV cravings.
Stream it on Hulu.

Married at First Sight
This show is exactly what you think it is: Two complete strangers have to say "I do" on the day they meet and decide within several weeks whether they want to stay together. It's basically what happens on The Bachelor but with the volume turned way up.
Stream it on Netflix.

Siesta Key
Again, this isn't a dating show, but Siesta Key—a companion of sorts to MTV's Laguna Beach—delivers the same "hot people making out and fighting" nonsense you love on The Bachelor. It's basically like a pool party episode of The Bachelor for 20 straight hours. I'm sold.
Stream it on MTV's website.
- 9/17
Temptation Island
Add Temptation Island to the list of dramatic relationship shows that, for whatever reason, take place on a beach. This time around, watch as four couples on the rocks interact with sexy singles and decide if they want to stay together or split for good. Spoiler: There are a lot of breakups.

Ex on the Beach
Imagine going on a dating show to look for love and then your ex shows up unannounced. That is the exact premise of MTV's drama-packed reality show Ex on the Beach. It's one part Bachelor in Paradise, two parts Are You the One?, and all parts addictive.

Unreal
This is the only scripted show on our list, but trust me: It deserves a spot. The series, which originally aired on Lifetime and is now on Hulu, follows the manipulative producers of a very Bachelor-esque reality dating show called Everlasting. They're the masterminds behind all the drama, and we see firsthand how they create it.
Stream it on Hulu.

Old Episodes of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette
If you want shows like The Bachelor, why not watch…old seasons of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette? While you wait for James's Bachelor season, relive all the moments that made you a fan of this franchise. Good news: Many of the seasons are available for streaming, so what are you waiting for?

The Hills
Hot people going on dates, finding love, and fighting? Sounds a lot like The Bachelor—and also The Hills, Lauren Conrad's star-turning reality soap that ran for six delicious seasons and coined the iconic phrase, “You know what you did!”
Stream it on Amazon Prime Video.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians
The only reality show more skilled at cliffhangers than The Bachelor is Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which has kept viewers hooked for 19 seasons…and one more to go in 2021.
Stream it on Hulu.
- 15/17
Selling Sunset
Selling Sunset mostly deals with the cutthroat inner-workings of L.A.'s real estate business, but it does have its sun-drenched, romantic moments. Savor them like you do a really good Bachelor one-on-one.
Stream it on Netflix.

12 Dates of Christmas
A seasonal dating show with one end goal: to bring a special someone home for the holidays. I'm surprised the Bachelor franchise didn't come up with this first!
Stream it on HBO Max.

Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach is not unlike The Bachelor's spin-off Bachelor in Paradise: You have bathing suits, fights, and people making out.
Stream it on MTV's website.
Nothing can fill the rose-shaped hole in my heart, but Love Island comes close.
