What Our Readers Bought on Amazon Prime Day 2022

·5 min read

There’s still one more day of Amazon Prime Day 2022. So far, we’ve spent a lot of time telling you what our editors were buying on Prime Day: robot vacuums, mini food processors, and rice cookers, to name a few. And we’ve refreshed Amazon’s kitchen deals page thousands of times to find the sales that were actually worth shopping for home cooks.

But now that we’ve reached the second day of the event, let’s talk about what you bought. We looked behind the curtain at what Epicurious readers purchased most on Amazon over the course of the 48 hour sale. There are some great picks here—and perhaps some things you might want to pick up today—because some of them are still on sale. We don't know how long these sales will continue to last, so we suggest grabbing them as quickly as possible. Some themes: baking tools, powerhouse small appliances, and cleaning tools.

Portable induction burner

Epi staffer Emily Johnson bought one of these induction burners to have an extra cooking surface—and a better cooking surface than the bad electric stove in her rental apartment. And it looks like a lot of Epi readers bought it, too. This burner won our product test because it's user-friendly, precisely temperature-controlled, and easy to clean. Using one will make you feel like you're on a cooking show.

All-Clad nonstick pan set

All-Clad is one of our favorite cookware brands, so it makes sense that they make some of our favorite nonstick pans. In signature All-Clad fashion, they heat evenly—and retain that heat. And their nonstick coating is very effective. You'll turn out the scrambled eggs and omelets of your dreams on these puppies.

Pizza cutters

Reviews editor Noah Kaufman had been waiting to replace his wheel pizza cutter with a mezzaluna cutter for months—and he finally did it at a discount on Amazon Prime Day. So did a lot of our readers. We love this style of pizza cutter because it's easier to use—and easier to clean—than the traditional model.

Cuisinart 4-Cup Chopper

On Epi, we’ve reviewed both full-size and mini food processors: Cuisinart wins in both categories. This 4-cup chopper is simply a scaled-down version of their full-size model, and we’ve found that it’s the perfect size for most prep work: chopping onions, pulverizing nuts, blending herbs into green sauce, etc. It was the fastest, most powerful mini food processor we tested, making the smoothest, creamiest hummus. Your fellow Epi readers bought hundreds of them yesterday. You should hop on the trend.
