Let's Run These Back! So far on Bel-Air, we've had the show give us some callbacks to the original with their own spin on it. The storylines of Ice Tray and Will having differences, and Vy trying to get Will back to Philly stand out. These are a few storylines I LOVED in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air that I'm excited to see revisited in the new series. Here are my top ten:

I know Hilary and Jazzy Jeff are a couple now and they look phenomenal together. Maybe for extra spice, bringing Trevor back as some type of celeb to go along with Hilary's Influencer prowess.

Will Taking A Bullet For Carlton In the original, the Banks plan a camping trip, but it's cut short when Carlton and Will go to the ATM, a robber approaches them and fires a gun, and Will takes the bullet for Carlton. Carlton begins carrying a gun and Will has to convince him to give him the gun. This storyline was compelling, and with the dynamics of the current characters, I can see that being executed exactly the same, with the same impact.
Nbc / NBCUniversal via Getty Images 3. Carlton's Dance One of the most synonymous things with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is Carlton's Dance to “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones.
I would love to see them bring that dance out during an optimal time with a new song.
Nbc / NBCUniversal via Getty Images 4. Aunt Viv's Dance Moment In Bel-Air Season 1, we see Aunt Viv revive her career as an artist, which she put on hold to be a mother, just like OG Aunt Viv did. Now, we see that she's out of retirement and starting to get her wings back.
IDK what would be the current "Aunt Viv get her groove back" moment, but I'm excited to see what they come up with.
Warner Bros 5. Uncle Phil Hustles The Hustler In Season 1 of the OG show, we see that Will loses Uncle Phil's car in a pool hall gamble. Uncle Phil had to come save the day, and then showed off in the process. I would love for them to run that back.
Warner Bros 6. Carlton Spends 72 Hours In Compton Will and Jazzy Jeff made a bet with Carlton that he wouldn’t make it a weekend in Compton. Jazzy set the location there since that's where he's from. The theme of racial "authenticity" this storyline brings is interesting and we see that starting to formulate in this season of the reboot as a storyline with Carlton's newly developed crush.
WARNER BROS 7. Uncle Phil and His Mom I'm a mother's boy and forever will be. My mother has been single most of my life, so this storyline resonated with me in a way. In the OG show, we see a time when Uncle Phil's widowed mom, Hattie, stays at the Banks' residence. While there, Uncle Phil has a hard talk with her due to Philip noticing that she's spending time with another man a year after the death of his father.
The conversation scene is one of the series' best and I would love for them to bring that story back.
WARNER BROS 8. Will and Carlton in College Some of the best moments in the later seasons of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air were when Will and Carlton got an apartment together and faced college with each other. It may take some time, but I would love for them to experience that together and face some of the good and bad times that we saw in the original series.
Nbc / NBCUniversal via Getty Images 9. One Little Fight When Will Smith went back to Philadelphia for the first time, he took the Banks family and showed them his neighborhood. While there, he ran into his old nemesis.
I would love to see Will confront his rivals in Bel-Air. Although Rashad is said to have died, I'm sure he has homies with a grudge.
Nbc / NBCUniversal via Getty Images 10. Will and Lisa In Therapy In the original series, Will and Lisa's relationship grew to the point that the couple gets engaged but never ties the knot. One of the things I loved growing up was watching Will's shenanigans with women so seeing him settle down with Lisa meant something, and you know he loved her. I would love to see the current Will and Lisa be the end game during the show's finale years down the line, but it is great character development to get us there.
