YouTube has dropped a list of 2021’s top trending videos in the U.S.

Every year YouTube compiles its 10 most popular videos. The videos don’t necessarily have the most views on the platform so much as they earned a ton of views in a short period of time. There are some familiar vloggers from last year’s list like Dream and Mark Rober, but plenty of new additions to check out as well.

1. MrBeast: “I Spent 50 Hours Buried Alive

Known for mixing altruism and entertainment, recall his real-life Squid Game competition, MrBeast drew in a massive audience when he buried himself alive in a custom-made coffin for 50 hours. The video currently has over 148 million views.

2. Dream: “Minecraft Speedrunner VS 5 Hunters

YouTuber Dream is so popular he has fan fiction written about him. It’s unsurprising the Minecraft speedrunner’s video of him trying to defeat the game’s Ender Dragon while five friends hunt him has accrued over 62 million views.

3. Mark Rober: “Glitterbomb Trap Catches Phone Scammer (who gets arrested)

Mark Rober is a former NASA engineer. To catch phone scammers in real life, Rober created a device that covers each perpetrator with a giant burst of glitter. Who wouldn’t want to watch a bunch of con artists receive their comeuppance? The video racked up over 49 million views.

4. NFL: “The Weeknd’s FULL Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show

The Weeknd is one of the biggest artists in the country and the NFL Super Bowl is one of our largest events. Naturally, people tuned in to watch the singer’s Halftime Show number on YouTube. The performance currently has over 42 million views.

5. CoryxKenshin: “Friday Night Funkin’ KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER (Part 2)

Gamer CoryXKenshin gave his subscribers a good time when he streamed himself playing Friday Night Funkin’, an open-source rhythm game featuring colorful characters. The video currently has over 21 million views.

6. Dhar Mann: “Kids MAKE FUN OF Boy With AUTISM, They Instantly Regret It

Dhar Mann is known for creating short films with teachable moments. A film where a boy with autism is bullied by his classmates proved to be a moving lesson. The video currently has over 45 million views.

7. America’s Got Talent: “Golden Buzzer: Nightbirde’s Original Song Makes Simon Cowell Emotional

When Nightbirde performed an original song on America’s Got Talent about her experience battling cancer, she received a golden buzzer and managed to make Simon Cowell feel. The video has been watched 37 million times.

8. Biden Inaugural Committee: “The Inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris | Jan. 20th, 2021

After a campaign season with many ups and downs, people watched Joe Biden and Kamala Harris be sworn as President and Vice President of the United States. The YouTube video received over 12 million views on the day of the inauguration and currently has 14 million.

9. Forge Labs: “I Spent 100 Days in a Zombie Apocalypse in Minecraft… Here’s What Happened

Another streamer makes the list. Forge Labs has earned over 43 million views on a video where he spent 100 days trying to outrun zombies in Minecraft.

10. Dude Perfect: “Game Night Stereotypes

Dude Perfect scored a viral hit with their skit about the different kinds of personalities you’ll run into at game night. The sketch has over 30 million views.
