AP calls Hillary Clinton the Democratic presumptive nominee

On June 6, 2016, the Associated Press reported that Hillary Clinton has reached the necessary number of delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination for president. Clinton will become the first woman to ever win a major party nomination. At a rally in Long Beach, California, Clinton said that, “According to the news, we are on the brink of a historic, historic, unprecedented moment. But we still have work to do, don’t we? We have six elections tomorrow and we’re going to fight hard for every single vote, especially right here in California.”
