Alan Gross, an American contractor held captive by the Fidel Castro regime for five years, was released in 2014 when President Obama reopened diplomatic relations with Cuba. Gross spoke to Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric about the death of the former Cuban leader and said Castro’s legacy is “brutality.” He also compared President-elect Donald Trump to Castro, saying, “He’s off his rocker. He’s a megalomaniac of the same ilk as Fidel Castro, only he’s not as well read.”
