Shakira's Duet With Maná Will Make You Fall In Love With Her All Over Again

With a vocal tone reminiscent of her breakthrough 1995 album "Pies Descalzos," Shakira returned in a duet with Mexican rock band Maná.

The Colombian singer and the group released the single "Mi Verdad" ("My Truth"), the first off Maná's forthcoming album, on Monday night. Shak shared the video and a thank you message to the band's lead vocalist for being invited to collaborate.

In the video, Shakira dons small braids, a black dress and a grey shawl as she performs in a rustic industrial backdrop. The video was shot before the star gave birth to her son Sasha on January 29, and in some scenes the singer is seen caressing her belly while singing verses like:

You are my love, my joy
The truth of my life
My baby that jumps into my arms in a hurry
You are my refuge and my truth

and

You are the light that guides me
You are the voice that calms me
You are the rain in my soul
And you're all of my truth

This is Shakira's first single in Spanish since 2012, when the star released a Spanish version of her hit "I Can't Remember To Forget You."
