Mick Jagger Makes First Public Statement After Heart Valve Surgery
Mick Jagger has released his first public statement after undergoing heart valve surgery in New York on Thursday.
The Rolling Stones singer posted a message of appreciation on Twitter Friday to his fans and the medical pros who operated on him.
Thank you everyone for all your messages of support, I’m feeling much better now and on the mend - and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job.
— Mick Jagger (@MickJagger) April 5, 2019
Jagger’s health issues forced the band to postpone its North American tour, which was set to kick off in Miami on April 20. No new show dates have been announced.
