Former Florida House Candidate On Kavanaugh Accusation: 'What Boy Hasn't Done This?'
Former Florida GOP congressional candidate Gina Sosa has completely dismissed a sexual assault accusation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. “Tell me, what boy hasn’t done this in high school?” she asked on camera on CNN.
Sosa made the startling comment in a story Thursday on reactions from a group of five Republican women in Florida on Christine Blasey Ford’s allegation against Kavanaugh.
Blasey has said that Kavanaugh shoved her into a bedroom at a house party when they were both in high school, locked the door, pinned her to the bed, groped her, pulled at her clothing and put his hand over her mouth when she tried to scream. She said she managed to escape when a second teen in the room jumped on top of them.
“We’re talking about a 17-year-old boy in high school, with testosterone running high,” said Sosa. “Tell me, what boy hasn’t done this in high school? Please, I would like to know.” Sosa lost the Florida GOP primary for the 27th congressional district last month with less than 2 percent of the vote.
All five women in the group said they believed Kavanaugh’s denial that the alleged attack occurred.
GOP voter Irina Villarino said that even if an assault had occurred, it was no big deal. “In the grand scheme of things, my goodness, there was no intercourse,” she said. “There was maybe a touch. Really? Thirty-six years later she’s still stuck on that?”
Republican Lourdes de Castillo de la Peña, who hosted a $1,000-a-plate fundraiser last year for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), insisted Kavanaugh “has an impeccable reputation.” She added: “I have no sympathy” for Blasey. “Perhaps maybe at that moment she liked him and maybe he didn’t pay attention to her afterward ... and she got bitter.”
Twitter went crazy.
Please tell me they’re not raising sons.

God help any girl that ends up at a party with one of their precious boys.

I would consider myself a complete failure as a parent if my son even had a passing thought that this would be acceptable behavior.

I will never understand how people stay so enthusiastically misinformed.

I didn't force myself on any women in high school. Or before, or in the decades after.
Women aren't obstacles to overcome or rewards to be earned. You've been broken by your sub culture.— Crowe Magnon 🇺🇸 (@Dargon74) September 22, 2018
I didn't do this in high school.
Or any other time.https://t.co/eUeEi2n1BG— Norm Clark #IndictTrump (@Normsmusic) September 22, 2018
This entire interview DISGUSTS me! I sure HOPE none of them have teenage daughters that EVER have something terrible happen 2 them, bc if they tell THESE moms, they will shrug their shoulders and say it's their fault bc boy's will be boys! @CNN WHERE IS THE PANEL OF MOMS LIKE ME?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. There is a big difference between a boy being a boy… And putting your hand over a girls mouth and turning the music up so no one can hear her scream.
Indeed, figure your shit out #GOP women.— Lennie Appelquist (@lenapple) September 22, 2018
Jesus. I know plenty of boys who didn’t do this in high school. It must come as as shock to some people that most boys/men would NEVER DREAM OF DOING THIS. Ever!

These ignorant women who appear to love powerful men, are women's worst enemies.
They fail to understand that WE CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE A MAN WITH THE INSTINCTS OF AN ANIMAL ON SCOTUS!
This is not an ordinary job Kavanaugh is applying for!
At 17, Kavanaugh should've known better!!— LeiliHana (@JumzyRau) September 22, 2018
Wow :/ “Tell me what boy hasn’t done this?”
Hold a girl down, cover her mouth, and try to rape her? I never did that. I’ve got 4 brothers who never did that. Anyone man or boy I was ever friends with never did that. Boys are not rapists by nature or by default. Rapists are evil.— pejsn (@pejsn) September 22, 2018
