Feinstein Calls For Cancellation of Kavanaugh Hearing After New Allegation Of Misconduct
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) on Sunday called for the cancellation of Thursday’s hearing for Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh following a new bombshell report published by The New Yorker.
Debbie Ramirez, a Yale classmate of Kavanaugh’s, told The New Yorker that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her and thrust his penis in her face when they were freshmen at a dormitory party.
“Thursday’s hearing should be canceled in light of a disturbing new allegation of misconduct against Brett Kavanaugh,” she tweeted. “The FBI must investigate ALL allegations.”

Feinstein on Sunday also wrote a letter to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) calling for an “immediate postponement” of the nomination.
“I am writing to request an immediate postponement of any further proceedings related to the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh,” Feinstein wrote in the letter, which she later tweeted. “I also ask that the newest allegations of sexual misconduct be referred to the FBI for investigation, and that you join our request for the White House to direct the FBI to investigate the allegations of Christine Blasey Ford as well as these new claims.”
In her interview with The New Yorker, Ramirez said she “would think an F.B.I. investigation would be warranted.”
Other Democratic senators ― including Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon) and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) — echoed Feinstein’s calls for an FBI investigation.
Merkley tweeted that the Ramirez accusations “presents a pattern of conduct” that makes it “absolutely clear” that Kavanaugh is “entirely unsuited to serve on the Supreme Court.”

“The FBI must investigate these claims and Dr. Blasey Ford’s,” Harris tweeted Sunday.
Harris also noted that Mark Judge, a classmate of Kavanaugh’s who came to the nominee’s defense after Blasey first went public with her own allegations, should “be compelled to testify.”
The New Yorker piece also included serious allegations against Judge.
Elizabeth Rasor, a former girlfriend of Judge’s, said that the man was lying when he claimed that there was no “horseplay” culture at Georgetown Prep, the high school both Judge and Kavanaugh attended.

Kavanaugh was preparing to testify Thursday about accusations Christine Blasey Ford, who said he pinned her to a bed during high school house party, groped her and pulled at her clothing, and put his hand over her mouth to stop her from screaming.
