Ed Sheeran Heard Someone Singing His Song In A Mall...

An Ed Sheeran fan got the surprise of her life while singing "Thinking Out Loud" at a Canadian mall when the Grammy-nominated singer joined her on stage for a duet.

Sheeran happened to be in a music store at West Edmonton Mall when he heard the familiar sounds of his own hit song. Just outside the store, 13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau was singing the tune as part of a fundraiser for the local Humane Society.

With his cousin Murray Cummings recording, Sheeran hopped on stage and joined the performance.

If the teen seemed unusually calm, it's because she initially thought someone had come on stage to fix the microphone, Bourbeau told the Edmonton Journal. Once she realized it was Sheeran, she wasn't sure what she should do.

“I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him,” Bourbeau told the newspaper. “This is, like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

After the performance, Sheeran's manager contacted the girl and offered her tickets to an upcoming performance, according to MTV.

Cummings posed the video to YouTube and joked on Twitter:

Bourbeau had a tweet of her own:

The teen also posted a video of the moment, taken from another angle:

And here it is from yet another point-of-view:

Sheerhan is making a habit out of these impromptu concerts. Earlier this year, he surprised a couple by performing that same song for them on their wedding day.

Ed, if you're a bird than we're a bird. Or whatever that bird-related quote is.

9. Defending Taylor Swift Like every famous person ever to exist, Ed is close pals with Taylor Swift, who he collaborated with on the duet 'Everything Has Changed'. When a journalist asked him what he thought about her reputation as a serial dater, he fired back: "I don’t like when people take shots at her because I do know her personally and I think people get the wrong end of the stick. "She’s so successful and she’s so nice and sweet to everyone that she meets, there is nothing bad to say but she was being pictured with a lot of dudes!"
