Child Psychiatrist Caught With Child Porn: Cops

A child psychiatrist was arrested after investigators allegedly found hundreds of images of child pornography on his work computer.

David Wilson, a 42-year-old Utah man, was charged Monday with 15 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second degree felony, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Wilson, who was also an osteopathic physician and surgeon, worked with children and often went into their homes, Desert News reported.

"David Wilson was treating vulnerable children all while viewing child pornography on his work computer," Utah Department of Commerce Director Francine Giani said in a statement. "The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing felt his actions posed an immediate threat to public safety so swift action was necessary."

In March, Intermountain Healthcare's information system security department allegedly found child pornography was being accessed on one of their computers, the Standard-Examiner reported. That computer was then traced to Wilson.

Wilson was fired and the incident was reported to law enforcement. He was arrested Friday after investigators finished analyzing the hard drive.

According to documents from an emergency hearing held by the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing in August, hospital security discovered Wilson was using search terms including "preteen model," "young Russian girls," and "shameless preteens."

Wilson is being held on a $150,000 bail and faces up to 15 years in prison.

It is unknown at this time if Wilson was a distributor or producer of child pornography. The hospital where he worked as a child psychiatrist released a statement saying there is no evidence that any of Wilson's patients were at risk.

The FBI says that Toth has been to Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota since fleeing Washington, D.C. The last reported sighting of him was in a Phoenix homeless shelter in 2009.
