We’re taking a peek inside our favorite health and fitness experts’ gym bags to uncover their must-have gear and favorite products.

Name: David Kirsch, celebrity trainer and author of the new book Ultimate Family Wellness.

My workout: I like “Kirsching” myself with a full-body circuit boot camp, mixing plyometric moves, such as burpees with Spider Man push-ups, and weighted squat jumps with core-strengthening planks, and side-plank oblique crunches. The whole routine takes around one hour.

What’s in my gym bag:

1. David Kirsch Sound Mind Sound Body Gym in a Bag: The perfect water-resistant duffel bag for toting my gym essentials.

2. TRX Rip Trainer: This suspension training system is portable, so you can use it in the gym, at home, or while on the road. It’s great for core strengthening and all-over toning.

3. Diadora cycling shoes: They’re durable and have great support – critical for navigating the wild streets of New York City on a bike.

4. Bern cycling helmet: Keeping my noggin safe and sound is of paramount concern, and I depend on this cycling helmet to do it.

5. David Kirsch Wellness One of a Kind Supplements: When I couldn’t find the exact nutritional products I wanted, I began making them myself. The Protein Plus shake is great as a snack or post-workout —it’s all natural, delicious, and has 25 grams of whey protein isolate. Thermo Bubbles is an effervescent, energizing drink — chromium picolinate, vitamin B12, and green tea are just some of the ingredients. (Oh yeah, it also help burn fat and curb your appetite!) Muscle Restore, with the essential amino acid glutamine is for muscle recovery and helps build lean, strong muscles. Vitamin Mineral Super Juice allows you to throw away the vitamin bottles and drink your vitamins instead. The KIRSCHBAR is a snack bar that’s gluten-free and non-GMO, and has 8 grams of casein protein with just 100 calories.

6. RUNA Clean Energy Drink: This natural energy drink is powered by the potent South American leaf known as guayusa. It provides an energy bolt on those days when I need an extra boost.

7. Perform Better resistance ankle bands: These simple, transportable bands are the perfect assist when I want to blast my gluteus, hip flexors, and outer thighs.

8. Asics cross trainers: These can take my hardcore bootcamp workouts.

9. Gold Bond Ultimate Hand Sanitizer: For when a sink is nowhere to be found.

10. METS jersey: I have New York pride— my favorite team is the Mets, and my favorite player is David Wright. As they say, GO METS!!

11. Fitbit Charge HR: This one doesn’t just track steps — it measures my heart rate and calorie burn, too.

12. Puma 360 Sport Sock: I love these, as they’re very wearable, moisture-wicking, and extremely functional.
