This Kid’s Reaction to His New Cast Will Make Your Day

Move over, David After Dentist: There’s literally a new kid in town, and he’s even more loopy from painkillers than you.

Thirteen-year old Walter Clark was doing what kids do and playing on a rope swing. Then he did what kids really do and accidentally fell off, breaking his arm. He had to be put under general anesthesia in order to undergo surgery to repair the broken bone before doctors were able to set it in a bright red cast.

But when Walter woke up, he kept forgetting that he had broken his arm and that it was in a cast.

And not only that, he also kept forgetting he had an arm.

His cruel/amazing family would cover up his arm in the cast with a blanket, causing him to wonder out loud, “Where’d my cast go? Where’s my arm? Where’s my arm? I can’t find my arm!” each time he would pop back into consciousness.

Fortunately, upon discovering his cast (again and again), he was sufficiently pleased with his new, colorful accessory, shouting with equal amazement: ““I have a cast! Look at my cast! Whoa! Look at my cast! My cast is amazing!”

There have not yet been reports of young Walter hearing Sonny & Cher’s “I’ve Got You Babe” each time he wakes up, so for now, it’s safe to say that Bill Murray is still the only one forced to live and re-live Groundhog Day:
