From Bacteria to Mold, Health Concerns Abound in Aftermath of South Carolina Flooding
Residents of the catastrophic flooding in South Carolina are at risk for five major health concerns. Prolonged exposure to high levels of mold can produce an immune-mediated disease known as hypersensitivity pneumonitis, while long-term ingesting of mold toxins can possibly lead to cancer.
