    Guinea has been declared free from transmission of Ebola, the World Health Organization said Tuesday, marking a milestone for the West African country where the original Ebola chain of transmission began two years ago leading to the largest epidemic in history.

    Health Authorities Confirm Ebola Case in Liberia

    Health authorities are reporting one confirmed Ebola case, a 10-year boy who is currently being attended to at the treatment center on the outskirts of Monrovia, the capital. (The Associated Press) Liberia was first declared Ebola-free on May 9; but there was a resurgence of the disease in late June affecting four people, two of whom died.
