Guy Winch, PhD, Psychologist And Emotional Resilience Expert

Guy Winch, PhD, is a licensed psychologist, keynote speaker, and author whose books have been translated into 17 languages. His most recent book is Emotional First Aid: Healing Rejection, Guilt, Failure, and Other Everyday Hurts (Plume, 2014). His TED talk, Why We All Need to Practice Emotional First Aid, based on the book, went viral and was viewed over 1 million times in less than three weeks. His other book, The Squeaky Wheel: Complaining the Right Way to Get Results, Improve Your Relationships and Enhance Self-Esteem (Walker & Company) was published in January 2011. Winch writes the popular Squeaky Wheel Blog for Psychology Today, and blogs for Huffington Post. He also used to do stand-up comedy.

Winch received his doctorate in clinical psychology from New York University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in family and couples therapy at NYU Medical Center. He has a private practice in Manhattan where he sees individuals, couples and families. He is a member of the American Psychological Association.
