The snow is already falling in the mountains but there is still time to get your body ready for the upcoming ski season. Here are two exercises that Olympic gold medal winner Hannah Kearney uses daily in her training. See if you can keep up!

Lateral Box Bench Jumps

Watch the video here:

Stand parallel to a flat bench with your feet close together. Place your arms by your side and bend them at the elbow. Your stance should mimic the way you ski. Next, jump laterally onto the flat bench and then quickly to the other side. Repeat the lateral jumping movement for desired time.

Pro Tip: Focus on speed and keep your eyes facing forward throughout exercise.

Perform 3 sets of 30 seconds each.

Stability Ball Double Leg Hamstring Curl

Watch the video here:

Lay on your back with your hands extended to your sides. Place your feet on top of a stability ball and lift your hips off the ground. Next, roll the ball toward your buttocks. Use your feet to pull the ball towards your body. When your legs reach your buttocks pause briefly and then return to the starting position. Repeat.

Perform 3 sets of ten reps.
