8 Things Women of Every Size Should Do Without One Ounce of Shame

We’ve all been there: Despite all of your best #SummerBod intentions, the season sneaks up on you, and those six-pack abs are still nowhere to be found.

We have a solution: Instead of letting any body insecurities hold you back from going to the beach, embrace your body for its strength and, yes, beauty, and do whatever the eff you want.

To get you started, here are nine things you should totally be doing with zero shame—no matter what size you are.

1. Wear a Sports Bra to the Gym…
Shirts are basically sticky sweat traps, anyway.

2. Rock a Crop Top
In fact, rock any trendy style you want: Crop tops, super flared jeans, and athleisure pieces come in so many cuts and sizes that you’re basically guaranteed to find something that makes this season’s hottest looks seem like they were invented just for you.

3. Have Sex with the Lights On
Being that confident with your body is a huge turn-on, and as a bonus, showing how comfortable you are with your partner will make the sex even hotter and more intimate for both of you.

4. Indulge Your Sweet Tooth
One cupcake isn’t going to ruin everything you’ve worked for, and there’s plenty of research proving that super restrictive diets can actually set you up for long-term failure. So go on, eat that ice cream cone you’ve been thinking about for the past two hours.

5. Wear the Sexiest Dress You Can Find
Forget lumpy, shapeless shirtdresses—show off your curves in a body-hugging LBD (Spanx optional). Accessorize with a fancy cocktail, a sexy dance partner, or a confident strut down the sidewalk.

6. Post Selfies on Instagram
Don’t be afraid to show yourself off for everybody to see. Let the Kardashian-Jenner squad be your selfie spirit guides: If you’re even remotely “feeling your look,” snap a pic, slap on your choice of filters and/or hashtags, and watch the likes come rolling in.

7. Wear a Bikini to the Beach
If one-pieces just don’t do it for you, don’t let insecurities keep you from soaking up as much vitamin D as possible (while wearing SPF, of course). There’s no reason swimsuits of the itsy-bitsy-teenie-weenie-yellow-polka-dot variety should be reserved only for the flat-stomached among us! And, again, there are so many different cuts and styles out there that you’re sure to find one that makes you look and feel Baywatch-ready.

8. Love Yourself
Whether you’ve still got a ways to go on your fitness journey or you’re rocking a post-baby pooch, we guarantee you’re beautiful inside and out—and you should never let your size hold you back.
