What the world doesn’t see is the dedication that Maya puts in off the court. Her focus on health and fitness is one of the key reasons Maya is now playing in her fourth WNBA Finals.

Below are a few exercises that Maya incorporates into her daily workout routine to help her stay at the top of her game.

Neutral Grip Pull-Ups

How to do it: Hang from a pull-up bar with your palms facing in and arms extended straight. Raise your body to a point where your chin reaches the bar level. Hold briefly then lower to the starting position and repeat.

Perform 3 sets of 8-10 reps.

Physio Ball Leg Hold With Rotation

How to do it: Lie on your back and extend your arms out with palms facing down for stability. Keep your legs straight and lift a physio ball into the air. Next, rotate the ball with your legs to one side slowly until your feet touch the ground. Pause briefly and then rotate the ball with your legs to the opposite side of your body. Pause again and repeat.

Perform 2-3 sets of 8-10 reps on each side.
