What If These Rock Stars Hadn't Gone to Heaven

The lives of legendary rock stars like Bob Marley, Elvis and Janis Joplin were cut short at the peak of their musical careers, but what if they hadn’t been? What would these music greats look like today if they hadn’t found their “Stairway to Heaven”? A new project, “Rock and Roll Heaven,” aims to take the guesswork out of that aging question. Sachs Media Group collaborated with Phojoe, a photo restoration and manipulation firm, to create images that give a glimpse at the rockers’ future faces helping visualize every wrinkle, grayed hair and yellowed teeth. Two years of research in the making, the study poured over hundreds of photos taken throughout the artist’s lives to imagine how the aging process would’ve taken its toll. “These incomparable artists were more than just singers, songwriters and musicians … they were the powerful creative forces of a generation,” Ron Sachs, Sachs Media Group’ CEO, told GoodMorningAmerica.com. “We hope to honor them and evoke some of the magic they brought to millions of their fans, even as we ponder what wonderful new contributions they still could have made."
