The judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's classified documents case has now indefinitely postponed the trial date pending resolution of outstanding pretrial litigation, including disagreements about how the classified information is used during trial. It comes as Judge Aileen Cannon has continued to delay various deadlines in the case, making it all but certain the case doesn't go to trial before Election Day. "The Court also determines that finalization of a trial date at this juncture -- before resolution of the myriad and interconnected pre-trial and CIPA issues remaining and forthcoming -- would be imprudent and inconsistent with the Court’s duty to fully and fairly consider the various pending pre-trial motions before the Court, critical CIPA issues, and additional pretrial and trial preparations necessary to present this case to a jury," Cannon wrote in the new order.
Former President Donald Trump is on trial in New York City, where he is facing felony charges related to a 2016 hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Trump last April pleaded not guilty to a 34-count indictment charging him with falsifying business records in connection with a hush money payment his then-attorney Michael Cohen made to Daniels in order to boost his electoral prospects in the 2016 presidential election. Former President Trump, on his way out of court, slammed the proceedings as "a disaster for the DA."
The Biden administration has delayed the delivery of ammunition to Israel, three U.S. officials told ABC News on Tuesday, in what appears to be the first time since the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks that the U.S. has withheld weapons from its ally. The move comes as the Biden administration is trying to pressure Israel not to launch a full-scale invasion of Rafah in southern Gaza without a credible plan to protect the million civilians seeking refuge there. On Tuesday, Israel began what its officials called a "precise" operation in Rafah.

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared on Tuesday to be backing off her threat to force a vote to oust Speaker Mike Johnson this week, though she signaled that she'll preserve her threat indefinitely -- keeping Johnson on a tight leash as he navigates a one-vote majority in the chamber. The development comes after Greene and Johnson met on Tuesday afternoon -- their second meeting in as many days. The meetings came after Greene said she would force a vote to remove Johnson from the leadership post this week.
Stormy Daniels took the stand in former President Donald Trump's hush money trial on Tuesday, describing for jurors the night she allegedly had sex with him. As the Israel-Hamas war crosses the seven-month mark, renewed negotiations are underway to secure the release of hostages taken by the terrorist organization, as Israeli forces continue to prepare for an apparent invasion of the southern Gazan town of Rafah. The White House expects the Kerem Shalom crossing to reopen on Wednesday, but are working to move up that timeline to get vital humanitarian assistance into northern Gaza even sooner. “Israel has committed to reopening the Kerem Shalom,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told ABC News.

"Their mission involved identifying military personnel within Zelenskyy's security detail capable of abducting and assassinating him," Ukraine's State Protection Service, or SBU, said.

New promising data finds that a small heart pump device the size of a AA battery could help keep children in need of a heart transplant alive and at home as they wait for a new heart. With this small implantable device, children can go home until their transplant date instead of waiting weeks or months in a hospital. Every year, between 200 and 400 infants and children waiting for heart transplants are faced with a grueling option as they wait for a transplant, getting a surgically-implanted mechanical heart pump weighing up to 200 pounds with garden-hose sized tubing attached to their bodies, potentially for weeks or months until they receive a heart transplant.

After stunning the Met Gala crowd by walking two entirely different looks down the red carpet, Zendaya pulled out yet another look one inside -- this time with bleached eyebrows. After ditching the two more voluminous gowns from the carpet on Monday night, the actress slipped into a heavily beaded, plunging custom dress by Greek designer Celia Kritharioti who has dressed stars like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and more in her decadent creations. Having already gone through two makeup looks, Zendaya's glam team scaled back her makeup by swapping her thinly-penciled brows from earlier in the evening for the bleached brow look of her second look, a move that let her bronzed, glowing skin take center stage.
TikTok and its Chinese parent company ByteDance filed a lawsuit against the federal government Tuesday over what it called an "unconstitutional" potential ban of the social media platform in the United States. In the lawsuit, TikTok and ByteDance claim the law signed by President Joe Biden last month -- which would force the company to sell the platform to a non-Chinese company in nine to 12 months or face a ban in the U.S. -- violates users' First Amendment rights. "For the first time in history, Congress has enacted a law that subjects a single, named speech platform to a permanent, nationwide ban, and bars every American from participating in a unique online community with more than 1 billion people worldwide," the company said in its 65-page petition filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
