Rudy Giuliani, two former attorneys for former President Donald Trump and several of the alleged fake electors are expected to be arraigned in Phoenix Tuesday on state criminal charges for their effort to overturn the 2020 election results in Arizona. Former Trump attorney John Eastman was the first ally of the former president to be arraigned in the case last week. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes last month announced charges against 11 named alleged fake electors and seven people whose names are redacted in the filing for their alleged role in efforts to subvert Joe Biden's 2020 victory in the state.

5 states under tornado watch as severe weather continues
At least five states from the Great Plains to the Midwest are on watch for possible tornadoes Tuesday, a day after severe weather hit with twisters and softball-size hail. Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota are under threat of tornadoes with several cities, including Des Moines and Davenport, Iowa, and Peoria, Illinois, bracing for the brunt of the storms. Damaging winds of 70 to 90 mph are also being forecast for Des Moines, Chicago and Milwaukee from Tuesday afternoon and into the evening.

One person is dead and dozens others injured after a Singapore Airlines flight encountered "severe" turbulence, the airline said in a social media post. The Boeing 777-300ER departed London's Heathrow Airport on Monday with 221 passengers and 18 crew members on board, according the airline. The flight, SQ 321, encountered turbulence about 90 minutes from its destination of Singapore and was diverted to Bangkok, the carrier said.

A Virginia woman who was at the forefront of school desegregation is sharing her experiences, and the hatred she endured, 65 years later. In February 1959, then-14-year-old Betty Kilby stepped into the history books as one of the 21 Black students who first attended her formerly segregated local high school, responding to the U.S. Supreme Court's unanimous Brown v. Board of Education decision fewer than five years earlier declaring "separate but equal" to be unconstitutional, paving the way for the racial integration of public schools in America. On their radios and televisions at home, Kilby and her friends heard parents and governors say that what they were doing was wrong.

No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler's arraignment has been postponed nearly two weeks following his arrest on charges alleging he ignored police traffic signals and assaulted a police officer while in Louisville, Kentucky, for the PGA Championship. The athlete was driving near the Valhalla Golf Club Friday morning when he allegedly drove past a police roadblock and injured an officer with his vehicle, according to the police report. Scheffler, 27, was initially scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning on charges of second-degree assault of a police officer -- a felony -- as well as third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic, according to police.

A climber has died at Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska after park rangers found a body at an elevation of over three miles, officials said. Department of Labor investigators said they discovered on May 1 "oppressive child labor" at the poultry plant in Alabama, "namely children working on the kill floor deboning poultry and cutting carcasses," after obtaining a civil search warrant. According to court documents, the company, Mar-Jac Poultry, denied knowing it had any employees who were under 18 years.

35-year-old man survives grizzly bear attack after encountering 2 of them at national park
A 35-year-old man has been seriously injured in a grizzly bear attack after accidentally encountering two of them in Wyoming, officials said. The sudden attack occurred on Sunday afternoon, when the Teton Interagency Dispatch received a report of a 35-year-old male visitor from Massachusetts being “seriously injured” by a bear in the area of the Signal Mountain Summit Road, according to a press release by the National Park Service on Monday detailing the attack. Based on initial reports from the injured visitor and preliminary information conducted as part of an ongoing investigation of the site, law enforcement rangers and park biologists believe the incident was a “surprise encounter with two grizzly bears, with one of the bears contacting and injuring the visitor.”
