Ja'net DuBois, who best known for her role as Willona Woods on "Good Times," died at the age of 74 on Tuesday.
The beloved TV actress was an accomplished singer-songwriter who composed and performed the iconic theme song to "The Jeffersons."
Co-stars, celebrities and fans all paid tribute to her, including a touching Instagram post by Janet Jackson, who played DuBois' adopted daughter Penny on "Good Times."
I am so very saddened to hear my longtime friend Ja’Net DuBois has passed away. I saw first hand how she broke stereotypes and changed the landscape for Black women in entertainment. I’m grateful in recent years I had a chance to see her and create more lasting memories. I pray for comfort for all her family and friends. Thank you Ja’Net, I’ll miss you. 🖤

DuBois was awarded the TV Land Impact Icon Award in 2006 for "Good Times" and earned two primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance on "The PJs."
She is survived by her three children Rani DuBois, Yocanne DuBois and Burghardt DuBois.
