The body of a woman who went missing for 10 days after she vanished when her car was suddenly swept away in a mudslide has been discovered under 15 feet of mud, rock and logs. The incident occurred in the early hours of Jan. 13 at approximately 1:15 a.m. when Jennifer Moore was driving in Dodson, Oregon, when she was hit by a landslide and swept off the road, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say the operation to find Moore, who was a 50-year-old registered nurse from Warrendale, Oregon, was incredibly treacherous and they had to use heavy machinery – including front loaders and dump trucks – to remove debris just to reach the location where they thought Moore could be.
Women in the United States are more stressed than men about the global coronavirus pandemic and are taking more precautions because of it, according to a new report. Women are worried that they or someone in their family will get sick from the new novel coronavirus, known officially as COVID-19. KFF's poll of over 1,200 adults ages 18 and older in the U.S. found that women also worry more than men that they may not be able to afford testing or treatment for COVID-19 and report that the worry and stress related to the virus have had a "major negative impact on their mental health."

Up to 7,000 National Guardsmen will remain in Washington for about seven more weeks to assist federal law enforcement agencies concerned over potential domestic disturbances, the Guard's top general said. "We're looking at probably mid-March right now," Gen. Daniel Hokanson told reporters on Saturday. The size of that force can be adjusted depending on requests from local law enforcement agencies, he added.

Tens of thousands of people have joined protests across dozens of cities in Russia, demanding the release of Alexey Navalny, the Kremlin critic who was jailed last week after he returned to the country for the first time since recovering from a poisoning with a nerve agent. Legendary talk show host Larry King died Saturday morning, a family member confirmed to ABC News. Kevin Gavin, 66, was charged Friday with three counts of second-degree murder for the killings, which spanned from 2015 to last week and occurred in the victims' apartments, authorities said. The suspect would run errands for some of the elderly tenants who lived in the building, run by New York City's public housing authority, NYCHA, police said. "He had a relationship with our victims," NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said during a media briefing Thursday.

The Biden administration this week announced a 100-day pause on deportations of most people living in the country illegally along with a new priority system for those who will still be subject to removal. The Department of Homeland Security released a memo outlining the categories of immigration offenders who will continue to be subject to arrest and eventual removal.
