For the jury in Trump's hush money trial, evidence of a criminal conspiracy comes in bits and pieces
When jurors heard opening statements in Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial two weeks ago, prosecutors presented a coherent timeline of events to argue that the former president had committed crimes to hide damaging information from voters before and after the 2016 election. Over the last two weeks, the evidence of Trump's alleged criminal conduct has arrived in bits and pieces. Jurors have so far heard from nine witnesses and seen over 120 exhibits.

Ex-Fulton County prosecutor Nathan Wade says 'day of reckoning' coming in Trump case
Nathan Wade, the former Fulton County, Georgia, special prosecutor who was forced to resign from the election interference case against Donald Trump after a judge's order over his relationship with District Attorney Fani Willis, told ABC News in an interview that he believes there will be a "day of reckoning" in the case despite it being sidelined for months over scandal. "I have to believe in the case," Wade said in an exclusive sit-down interview with ABC's Linsey Davis. "And I believe that, you know, there's going to be that day of reckoning where a Fulton County jury there in Fulton County, Georgia, would have to make that decision."

Israel-Gaza live updates: IDF warns civilians in Rafah to move to humanitarian area
As the Israel-Hamas war approaches the seven-month mark, renewed negotiations are underway to secure the release of hostages taken by the terrorist organization, as Israeli forces continue to prepare for an apparent invasion of the southern Gaza town of Rafah. The U.N. Agency for Palestine Refugees said Monday it wouldn't begin to evacuate its staff from Rafah, adding that a possible Israeli invasion into the refugee city would be "devastating." "UNRWA is not evacuating: the Agency will maintain a presence in Rafah as long as possible & will continue providing lifesaving aid to people," the group said in a statement.

Man arrested after allegedly attempting to shoot pastor during sermon
A church service in Pennsylvania came to a terrifying halt on Sunday when authorities say a man pulled a gun on the pastor and allegedly attempted to shoot him during his sermon. The suspected gunman, who police identified as 26-year-old Bernard Junior Polite, entered the church and allegedly attempted to shoot the pastor, Glenn Germany, as he was delivering his sermon on a live stream, according to police.

5-year-old boy killed in Texas flood, 224 people rescued: 'We're not out of the woods yet'
More than 20 million people remain under a flood watch in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas on Sunday. A 5-year-old boy was found dead in Johnson County, Texas, on Sunday amid severe flooding, according to officials. Emergency management officials said they got a call for a vehicle stuck in swift-moving water at 1:53 a.m. local time on Sunday morning.

Nathan Wade, the former Fulton County special prosecutor involved in the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump, spoke out for the first time Sunday since resigning from the case after a public disqualification battle over his relationship with District Attorney Fani Willis. Wade, who resigned from the case last month following a judge's ruling, conceded he had certain regrets about the relationship but defended the integrity of the case against Trump and others moving forward. "Workplace romances are as American as apple pie," Wade told ABC News' Linsey Davis in an exclusive sit-down interview.

14-year-old girl killed, 5 other teens hurt in Buffalo shooting: Police
A 14-year-old girl was killed and five other teenagers were injured when a shooting erupted Saturday night outside a house party in Buffalo, New York, several blocks from the supermarket where a 2022 mass shooting occurred, according to police. The shooting unfolded just after 11 p.m. in Buffalo's East Side neighborhood where "several hundred" teenagers were gathered for a party, police said. No arrests were announced as of Sunday afternoon.

Abducted infant and suspect who allegedly killed 2 women, injured child remain missing: Police
An urgent search remains underway Sunday in Clovis, New Mexico, after police say a 10-month-old baby was abducted, two women were found dead with apparent gunshot wounds -- including the child's mother -- and the mother's 5-year-old child was injured after sustaining a gunshot on the scene. Police issued an Amber Alert for the baby, Eleia Maria Torres, on Friday, which is still active as of Sunday morning. Torres has brown eyes and brown hair, is 28 inches tall and weighs 23 pounds, according to officials.

Mayor Eric Adams defends NYPD response to campus protests
New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday defended the police crackdown on campus protests there, which have become the epicenter of demonstrations around the country against the Israel-Hamas war. "We want to ensure we protect democracy and the right to protest," Adams told ABC News "This Week" co-anchor Jonathan Karl, "but we have an obligation that when those protests reach the point of violence ... we have to ensure that we use a minimum amount of force to terminate what is perceived to be a threat not only by our intelligence, but also the school and college officials." Adams said that the large-scale police intervention seen so far in the city, most notably at Columbia University, resulted from communication between the police and school officials.

Tom Cotton attacks campus protests, argues police should have gone in 'on the very first day'
Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton on Sunday pushed for an even stronger police response to pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses across the country as both arrests and controversy grow around the demonstrations against Israel's military campaign in its war with Hamas in Gaza. Speaking to ABC News "This Week" co-anchor Jonathan Karl, Cotton said school leaders, whom he sought to paint as biased by politics, should have sent in law enforcement "the very first day they set up their tents."

Locked in a tight race for the presidency, Donald Trump prevails in trust to handle most issues in a new ABC News/Ipsos poll, yet President Joe Biden scores competitively on key personal attributes -- leaving wide open the question of who'll prevail come Election Day, now six months away. Excluding people who say they wouldn't vote, Trump has 46% support, Biden 44%, in this national survey of more than 2,200 adults. This finds the race at 42% for Trump and 40% for Biden, with 12% for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 2% for Cornel West and 1% for Jill Stein.

US Army sergeant arrested in alleged murder-for-hire plot against 4 people, including 2 minors: Police
A United States Army sergeant and his brother have been charged in a failed murder-for-hire scheme that targeted four individuals, including two juveniles, according to officials. Servicemember Jeremiah Peikert, 30, was arrested on Thursday by Connecticut State Police, accused of conspiring with his brother, Joshua Peikert, 32, who was incarcerated at the Corrigan Correctional Center in Uncasville at the time of the alleged scheme, according to court documents. The two brothers have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit risk of injury to minors, according to court documents.

Missing zebra captured after 6 days on the run in Washington state
A missing zebra that was on the run for nearly a week after escaping a trailer in Washington state was corralled this weekend, officials announced Saturday. The female mare, named Shug, was one of four zebras that escaped from a trailer near North Bend, Washington -- approximately 30 miles east of Seattle -- on April 28, according to a press release from Regional Animal Services of King County. The group of zebras was being transported from Winlock, Washington, to Anaconda, Montana, when the animals got loose while the owner had reportedly stopped to fix a problem with the trailer, the organization said, noting the other three zebras were recaptured within hours of the escape.

This interruption is an example of GPS spoofing, a technology that has started to be used more commonly in modern warfare. GPS spoofing occurs when the GPS signal is intercepted by a third party and incorrect information is relayed back to the device.
