Rob Reiner teases legendary singers to cameo in 'This Is Spinal Tap' sequel
Get ready for your laughs to be amped up to 11 -- again.
Rob Reiner opened up about the long-awaited sequel to his 1984 mockumentary "This Is Spinal Tap" during a recent appearance on Richard Herring's "RHLSTP" podcast.

"Everybody's back," the director said, indicating that all three members of the fictitious band Spinal Tap -- dubbed "one of England's loudest bands" in the classic film -- will return.
This means fans will see actors Michael McKean, Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer reprise their respective roles as rockers David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel and Derek Smalls.
Reiner also teased a few real-life music legends who will appear, too.
"Paul McCartney is joining us, and Elton John, and a few other surprises -- Garth Brooks," he shared.
Reiner said filming is set to begin at the end of February 2024.
When asked if he knew "This Is Spinal Tap," which was selected for preservation by the National Film Registry in 2002, would become so influential, the "All in the Family" alum said no.
Reiner said when the film initially came out, people "didn't know what the heck they were looking at" or didn't understand that it was satire.
"But over the years, people got it, and they started to like it," he added.
