Morning commute... but make it fashion?
New York City subways just got a fashion makeover with the debut of Moschino's pre-fall 2020 show.
On Monday, the designer label took over the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn donning everything from ultra oversized puffer coats to huge '90s-style gold link chains and a massive backpack like we've never seen before.
Popular models such as Joan Smalls and Winnie Harlow were part of the show in addition to celebrity attendees such as Kacey Musgraves, Kim Petras and Madelaine Petsch.
Creative director Jeremy Scott posted a series of photos from the show with one image captioned, "Stand back from the closing doors."
Moschino's pre-fall show also played off some of the nuances associated with riding crowded MTA NYC subways.
"When someone gets on the subway during rush hour and refuses to take off their [backpack emoji]," WWD wrote in an Instagram post.
In addition to larger-than-life backpacks, there were a host of other standout moments.
Capturing glances of New York culture, there were cool subway dancers.
We also got a fun glimpse of Petras holding a huge "MoschinoCard" metro card prop.
Harlow posed in stacked gold chains, a bright hoodie and fur.
Nail artist Mei Kawajiri created big, bold custom nail looks using OPI nail color.
Models lined up to a finale walked accompanied by the tunes of Megan Thee Stallion's new hit song "Ride or Die."
