Good Morning America” revealed a thrilling announcement about the “King of Pop” this morning.

The late Michael Jackson has made history once again. His album “Thriller” has gone multi-platinum a record 30 times now, a feat that has never been accomplished before.

According to the Recording Industry Association of America and Jackson's estate, the “Thriller” album has sold 30 million copies in the United States since its original 1982 release, which makes Jackson the only artist to achieve 30-time multiplatinum status.

“RIAA has awarded Gold & Platinum records on behalf of the music business for nearly 60 years, but this is the first time an artist has crossed the 30X multi-Platinum plateau,” Cary Sherman, Chairman and CEO of RIAA, said in a statement. “We are honored to celebrate the unique status of Thriller in Gold & Platinum history. What an exceptional achievement and testament to Thriller’s enduring spot in our hearts and musical history.”
