Erin go wha?!!

A man got the surprise of his life last night when he boarded a plane to Ireland only to come face-to-face with his doppelganger.

"I came over and he was in my seat--he was in the wrong seat," Neil Thomas Douglas of Glasgow, Scotland told ABC News today. "He turned and it was just an uncanny resemblance. It was very funny."

Douglas, a photographer, said he flew on Oct. 29 to Galway, where he was shooting a wedding.

But when Douglas went to sit down, he was shocked to be greeted by doppelganger--a man named Robert from London, who resembled Douglas from the haircut and smile, right down to the bright red beard.

"His face, it's almost identical," Douglas said, laughing. "It's weird, strange--it's hard to describe."

This morning, Douglas said his wife's friend grabbed the photo from his Facebook page and posted onto Twitter.

The photo had more than 5,000 retweets and Douglas said the news stations immediately began dialing him for the story.

"All day we've been getting phone calls," he said. "It's crazy, but I'm not too bothered about it gong viral [because] it’s a nice story."

Douglas said he and Robert, who believe it or not, are staying in the same hotel, plan to get together again during their stays in Ireland.
