A comment Barbra Streisand left on an Instagram post shared by Melissa McCarthy this week has sparked a conversation about weight, shaming and the increasingly widespread use of drugs for weight loss. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced on Wednesday that she will move ahead with her attempt to oust Speaker Mike Johnson from the House's top job -- though her plan seems doomed to fail. "Mike Johnson is not capable of that job, he has proven that over and over again," she said. Greene, joined by Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, aired a litany of grievances she has with Johnson, who she has described as a Democratic speaker working against former President Donald Trump's agenda.

When a fan asked how he and Kate and their three children are doing, William replied, "We are all doing well, thank you."
Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Jacksonville, Florida, on Wednesday, to focus on abortion access -- the same day the state's six-week abortion ban goes into effect. During her remarks, Harris plans, again, to tie the state’s ban to former President Donald Trump and blame him for the other bans currently seen in much of the country, according to excerpts obtained by ABC News. Harris will also respond to Trump’s latest comments on abortion, from a Time magazine story, where he said he would leave it up to the states to decide whether or not they want to monitor women's pregnancies to determine if someone gets an abortion after their state's legal ban and then prosecute them.
WNBA star Brittney Griner opened up for the first time about her harrowing monthslong detention in Russia and the “mistake” that got her sentenced to nine years in prison in a special edition of “20/20” airing tonight at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. “I could just visualize everything I worked so hard for just crumbling and going away,” Griner told “GMA” co-anchor Robin Roberts. Griner, 33, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and a nine-time WNBA All-Star who plays for the Phoenix Mercury, was detained on Feb. 17, 2022, at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Khimki after she was accused of having vape cartridges containing cannabis oil, which is illegal in the country.

The survey shows the impact of mental health challenges is significant with 51% of people said they experienced depression, anxiety, or another mental health condition in the past year.
Florida's law banning abortions after six weeks of pregnancy took effect on Wednesday, becoming one of the most restrictive states in the country on abortion access. Florida's six-week ban replaced the state's previous 15-week abortion ban, prohibiting the procedure before most women know they are pregnant. In the South, abortion is now either banned or severely restricted in Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas and Louisiana.

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office said it intends to retry Weinstein if the complaining witnesses are willing to participate in another trial.
Former President Donald Trump is back on the campaign trail, hitting two battleground states Wednesday after severe weather and his legal calendar have prevented him from holding his traditional campaign stops for weeks. Trump will first campaign in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and then head to Freeland, Michigan, for an evening rally, packing his campaign schedule on his only regularly scheduled off day from court during the week. It'll be the first time Trump has held a rally since the start of his criminal hush money trial in New York.
The Federal Reserve is set to announce a decision on Wednesday about whether to adjust its benchmark interest rate, just days after new government data showed that the economy is cooling off. The slowdown has coincided with a months-long stretch of stubborn inflation, putting pressure on the Fed to keep interest rates high despite a risk of hindering economic activity with expensive borrowing costs. Economists widely expect the Fed to leave interest rates unchanged.
Associate Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer retired from the high court in 2022 but isn't finished prodding his former conservative colleagues to abandon what he sees as an aggressive tack to the right in how they interpret the law. "You're there a long time," he added, addressing the three justices nominated by former President Donald Trump. Breyer has been on an all-out media blitz with the release of his 10th book, "Reading the Constitution: Why I Chose Pragmatism, Not Textualism," an attack on the method of judging favored by his former colleagues that now threatens generations of established legal precedent.
The U.S. is warning of a looming potential "large scale massacre" in El Fasher, a city in Sudan, as troops from the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group and allied militias encircle the city in what the U.S. says are "indications of an imminent offensive." U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield warned that El Fasher is "on the precipice of a large-scale massacre," calling on the RSF to end its siege and swear off any attack on the city. "A crisis of epic proportions is brewing in El Fasher," said Thomas-Greenfield.
In a historic shift, the Drug Enforcement Administration supports recommending the reclassification of marijuana as a less dangerous drug, moving it from a Schedule 1 classification, alongside drugs like heroin and ecstasy, to a Schedule 3 drug, like ketamine, steroids and testosterone, sources told ABC News. A source confirmed that the Department of Justice on Tuesday will send its recommendation to the White House's Office of Management and Budget, which will review it, further solidifying a process that will then take several more months. The White House declined to comment, referring all questions to the DOJ, which then announced its decision later on Tuesday.
When Sara Martinez, a mom of a 19-month-old daughter, needed tips on raising a toddler, she turned to TikTok for help, asking in a video for parents to send their advice. According to Martinez, the theory suggests that parents focus on three key interactions with their kids during the day: The first three minutes after they wake up, the three minutes after they come home from school or day care and the last three minutes of the day before they go to bed. For Martinez, implementing the theory with her daughter Millie has helped her erase the "mom guilt" she said she felt, wondering whether she was doing enough for and spending enough time with her daughter.
Former President Donald Trump is on trial in New York City, where he is facing felony charges related to a 2016 hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Trump last April pleaded not guilty to a 34-count indictment charging him with falsifying business records in connection with a hush money payment his then-attorney Michael Cohen made to Daniels in order to boost his electoral prospects in the 2016 presidential election. Exiting the courtroom following the day's testimony, former President Trump reiterated claims that the case is unfair and that he should be campaigning instead of sitting in court.
As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated Tuesday that Israel would proceed with a military operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah "with or without a deal," the Biden administration -- which has repeatedly warned against a Rafah offensive -- appears to be holding out hope for a cease-fire agreement. "We will enter Rafah because we have no other choice," Netanyahu said Tuesday in comments translated from Hebrew. "We will destroy the Hamas battalions there, we will complete all the objectives of the war, including the repatriation of all our hostages."

In the race to understand the potential habitability of Saturn's icy and active moon, Enceladus, scientists could have a newfound understanding of the moon's defining stripes and eruptions. Enceladus harbors a global, subsurface ocean more than 30 miles deep, that periodically erupts jets of ice crystals and plumes of gas above its South Pole, which were first recognized by NASA's Cassini spacecraft in 2005. During the 13-year mission studying Saturn and its 146 moons, the Cassini spacecraft was able to capture material ejected into space by Enceladus' jets.
Weekly COVID-19 hospitalizations have hit their lowest level ever reported since the pandemic began, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There were 5,615 COVID hospitalizations in the most recent week data that is available. "The significant decline in COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths to these new lows is encouraging, showing that our public health measures and vaccination efforts have paid off," said Dr. John Brownstein, chief innovation officer at Boston Children’s Hospital and an ABC News medical contributor.
