Know your exercises: Triceps dumbbell kickback

If you want shapely arms, you need to work your triceps. One exercise that helps you isolate the muscles is triceps kick-backs. Here’s how you do it:

Step 1: Stand straight with a dumbbell in each arm and palm facing inwards.

Step 2: Bend forward at your waist, keeping your back straight with a slight bend in your knees so that your upper body is parallel to the floor (similar to a row). Your arms should be perpendicular to the floor and there should be 90 degrees between the forearm and arm. This will be the starting positions.

Step 3: Keeping your upper arms stationary, exhale and use your triceps to lift the dumbbell until your arm is straight.

Step 4: Hold the position for a while and slowly lower the dumbbells. Do the exercise for the desired number of reps.
