President Joe Biden has been cleared to break isolation now that he has tested negative for COVID-19 for the second time, his physician announced on Sunday. An antigen test taken by Biden on Sunday produced a negative result for the second consecutive day, White House physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor wrote in a letter clearing Biden to travel. Biden arrived in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Sunday morning -- his first travel out of Washington, D.C., since late July, when he first tested positive for COVID.
With the midterm elections three months away, Americans maintain a sour view on the state of the economy and are pessimistic about its future course, with President Joe Biden’s approval rating across a range of issue areas continuing to suffer, according to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll. Americans' views of Biden's handling of the economic recovery remain overwhelmingly negative -- and are virtually unchanged from the same poll in early June, with only 37% of Americans approving of the job the president is doing and 62% disapproving in the latest ABC News/Ipsos poll, which was conducted using Ipsos' KnowledgePanel. The only area where Biden sees some improvement in this poll is on his handling of gas prices.

At least nine people were injured in a shooting in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the early hours of Sunday, police said. Officers were already on the scene to disperse a "large disorderly crowd" when gunfire broke out at about 1:45 a.m. near the 1300 block of Main Street in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, according to a press release from the Cincinnati Police Department. The gunfire occurred following a physical altercation between two groups in the crowd, and at least two individuals exchanged gunfire near, police said.
New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said Saturday she will send additional state police to Albuquerque after the fourth murder of a Muslim man in the city in recent months. The governor's office said additional state police will be on patrol in the city and they are working in close coordination with the Albuquerque Police Department and the FBI to provide necessary support. "In addition, we will continue to do everything we can to support to the Muslim community during this difficult time."
The man charged with aggravated murder in the fatal shooting of four people in Ohio was arrested Saturday night in Lawrence, Kansas, the FBI's Cincinnati field office announced. Stephen Marlow, 39, was arrested by the Lawrence Police Department just before 10 p.m., according to John Porter, the police chief in Butler Township, Ohio, where the shooting deaths occurred.

Actress Anne Heche is in stable condition after she was involved in a fiery car crash on Friday that damaged a Los Angeles home, her representative has confirmed to ABC News. The Los Angeles Police Department also confirmed Saturday that Heche, 53, was the driver in the solo-vehicle crash. LAPD sources told ABC News they suspect that Heche was allegedly driving at an excessive speed when the crash happened.
The principal of Robb Elementary School, who was briefly suspended before being reinstated last month, will be leaving the school for a position in district administration, the school district announced. Mandy Gutierrez has accepted a position as assistant director of special education, Hal Harrell, the superintendent of the Uvalde Unified Consolidated Independent School District, said in an update to the school community on Friday. Gutierrez will be "fulfilling her desire to support special education students across the district," Harrell said.
The U.S. Secret Service has given the House Jan. 6 committee a listing of agency-issued cell phone numbers belonging to agents based in Washington, D.C., for the period the panel is investigating, according to sources familiar with the matter. The move is an unusual step amid heightened scrutiny of the agency's cooperation with the congressional panel investigating last year's insurrection and the role then-President Donald Trump played in it. The committee can now determine which agents' call records they may want to review and, if they decide to do so, could either request them directly or conceivably issue subpoenas to their cell phone providers, an official familiar with the situation explained.
Michigan state investigators said test samples taken Thursday from Hubbell Pond in Milford showed low-level presence of a toxic chemical that was released into the Huron River System by the Tribar Manufacturing company in Wixom last weekend. Two crews from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy sampled waters upstream, downstream and within the pond on Friday to gather more information on the presence of hexavalent chromium, a known cancer-causing chemical. According to Michigan authorities, hexavalent chromium is known carcinogen that can cause a number of adverse health effects through ingestion, skin contact or inhalation.
