An Idaho jury sentenced Chad Daybell, the man who was convicted this week for the 2019 murders of his first wife and second wife's two children, to death. Lindsey Blake, the Fremont County, Idaho prosecutor, told reporters she was hopeful the verdict would allow the victims' families and friends a chance to heal. The jury found Daybell guilty on all counts Thursday in what prosecutors said was a plot to pursue "money, power and sex."

Former President Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records on Thursday, but that will not stop him from being able to run for election in November -- and the case is not over yet. Before he can file an appeal of the conviction, he needs to be sentenced by Judge Juan Merchan, according to Fordham University Law Professor Cheryl Bader. Before sentencing, the Probation Department will be charged with preparing a pre-sentence investigation, or a probation report, for Merchan, which will include interviewing Trump.

Largest stegosaurus fossil ever found to be auctioned by Sotheby's in New York
The largest stegosaurus fossil ever found is heading to auction next month with an estimated value of up to $6 million. The specimen, known as "Apex," was excavated near Colorado's Morrison Formation, close to the town of Dinosaur, in 2023, according to the Sotheby's auction house. Florida police punch, tase teen after he allegedly trespasses at pool
Police officials in Lakeland, Florida are reviewing an incident in which officers punched and tased a teenager after he allegedly trespassed at an apartment complex pool and refused to leave when police ordered him to do so. Lakeland police charged the 16-year-old boy with misdemeanor trespassing and two felony counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by ABC News. Christopher McKee, one of the two arresting officers in the May 26 incident, stated in a police report that he was responding to a 911 call from the apartment complex management complaining that several people were at the apartment pool who weren't allowed to be there because they weren't tenants.

Orange production in two top growing regions has been plagued by diseased fruit and bad weather, a combination that's prompted all-time high prices and left juice makers to consider other citrus varietals to supplement in the widely consumed breakfast beverage. Along the citrus belt of São Paulo and Minas Gerais in Brazil, both factors have impacted orange production, significantly reducing overall crop yields, according to the latest forecast from Fundecitrus, the Fund for Citrus Protection. The institution reported that Brazil, the world's largest producer and exporter of orange juice, was set to produce 232.4 million boxes of oranges in the 2024 to 2025 season, a 24% decline from the same time last year.

Nearly a year after five people died aboard the OceanGate "Titan" submersible while on a deep-sea voyage to the site of the Titanic, a billionaire has announced plans to go to the infamous wreck.
