You think you’re spending too much on gas? How much does the average American spend on gas, each month?
According to the United States Department of Commerce, in March 2011 gas prices have risen to $109 per person, $305 per household.
As oil prices help drive up the price of gasoline, more and more Americans are finding it difficult to keep up with these high costs. In October 2010, each household was spending $249 per month on motor fuels, that’s $56 less than March 2011. We’ll see if there is any change in years to come.
