Emmys 2022: Red carpet fashion from television's biggest night

Celebrities showed up Monday night to the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards in dazzling red carpet looks that will be remembered for years to come.

From high-fashion couture to classically elegant moments, a number of stars made viewers do a double-take, including Laverne Cox, who looked fabulous in a futuristic mini dress, and Britt Lower who brought some shine to the carpet in a sparkling metallic gown.

Other standout looks came from Emmy-awarding winning "Euphoria" star Zendaya, who made a statement in an elegant look from Italian luxury fashion house Valentino, as well as "Abbott Elementary" star, writer, creator and executive producer Quinta Brunson, who wore a gorgeous gilded look designed by Dolce & Gabbana.

Touted as one of the evening's best dressed, the "Euphoria" actress brought huge glamor to the carpet in a voluminous black strapless gown from Italian luxury fashion house Valentino.

Sydney Sweeney

Quinta Brunson

A bill aimed at furthering restrictions on discussions of "gender identity or sexual orientation" in public schools is progressing in the Alabama legislature, passing the state House on Tuesday. Current law states that classrooms in kindergarten through the fifth grade "shall not engage in classroom discussion or provide classroom instruction regarding sexual orientation or gender identity in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards." US secretly sent long-range missiles to Ukraine to use against Russian invaders: Officials

Michigan prosecutors charged a father for violating the state's newly enacted safe storage law after his son allegedly got a hold of a firearm and shot himself in the face in their home.
