Elliot Page made his Met Gala debut Monday, marking his first red carpet appearance since coming out as transgender.
For the star-studded occasion, the Oscar-nominated actor, 34, donned a black suit and black sneakers from Balenciaga and accessorized the look with a green flower on his lapel.
The "Umbrella Academy" star was photographed hanging out with "The Crown" star Josh O'Connor as well as "Game of Thrones" alums Kit Harington and Rose Leslie at the fashion event.
Page opened up to TIME in March about how he had struggled with the disconnect in how the world saw him on magazine covers or on the red carpet versus how he felt.
"I just never recognized myself," he told the outlet. "For a long time I could not even look at a photo of myself."
Page came out as transgender in December 2020, sharing that their pronouns are he/they and saying: "I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive."
