Nineties hip-hop group Digable Planets is back and preparing for a nine-stop reunion tour this summer, reports Brooklyn Vegan.
The tour, running from July to August, starts out in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving through cities in the southeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Kicking off their summer tour are cameos at a handful of festivals around the US.
Digable Planets was first formed in the late 1980s by Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Craig "Doodlebug" Irving and Mary Ann "Ladybug Mecca" Vieira. Their single "Rebirth of Slick" (Cool Like Dat) reached the Top 20 in 1992, and led to the release of two LPs by the group before it broke up in 1995.
