Good Morning America
The month of March marks National Endometriosis Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of endometriosis, one of the most common gynecological diseases, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Shelley Hopper, a 31-year-old single mother, said she spent two years suffering from debilitating pain until she found a doctor who "believed me." Hopper, of Roseville, California, was diagnosed with endometriosis, a disease that researchers believe affects more than six million women in the U.S. and as many as 200 million women worldwide.
