The objective of Single Deck Blackjack is to beat the dealer's hand by having a hand value closer to 21 without exceeding it.
Each player and the dealer receive 2 cards. The dealer has 1 card face up and 1 card face down (hole card).
Players can see 1 of the dealer's cards and make their decisions based on their own hand and the dealer's visible card. You have the following options:
- Hit: Take another card to try to get closer to 21.
- Stand: Keep your current hand value and end your turn.
- Double down: Double your initial bet and receive 1 more card. This option is often allowed on the first 2 cards.
- Split: If you have a pair, you can split them into 2 separate hands and place an additional bet. Each split card receives a second card, and you play each hand separately.
If you want to make a Match to the Dealer side bet, place your chips in the designated side bet area on the table.
After all players have completed their turns, the dealer reveals their hole card.
The dealer must hit until they reach a total of 17 or higher.
An Ace is worth either 1 point or 11 points, depending on which value benefits the player's hand more. Players win if their hand value is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand without exceeding 21. If a player's hand value exceeds 21, they bust and lose their bet.
