The objective of Mini Baccarat is to bet on the outcome of the game, predicting whether the player's hand or the banker's hand will have a higher total value or if the hands will tie.
In Mini Baccarat, players have the option to place bets on 1 of 3 choices: the player's hand, the banker's hand, or a tie. Once bets are placed, the dealer starts the game.
The dealer distributes 2 cards face-up to both the player and the banker. Each card has a specific value: Numerical cards (2 to 9) are worth their face value, 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings are valued at 0 points, and Aces are worth 1 point. To determine the hand's total value, the points of the cards are summed up. If the total exceeds 9, only the second digit of the sum is taken into account. For instance, a 7 and an 8 result in a total of 15, which is considered 5.
If the initial 2 cards dealt to either the player or the banker amount to a total of 8 or 9, this is known as a "natural." In this case, the hand with the natural wins, and the game round concludes. However, if neither hand has a natural, additional cards might be drawn according to specific rules. If the player's total falls between 0 and 5, they draw a third card. If the player doesn't draw a third card and their total stands, the banker draws a third card only if their total is also between 0 and 5.
Once all necessary cards have been dealt, the hand that comes closest to a total value of 9 wins. In the event that both the player's hand and the banker's hand have the same total, it results in a tie. This marks the end of the game round, and payouts are made based on the bets placed by the players.
